Engagement
RESCu-M2 is committed to working with research and industrial communities to share knowledge, generate ideas and demonstrate products and processes that will benefit the circular economy. We have a programme of engagement activities to suit your needs, see below to find out more.
Industry
A central tenet of RESCu-M2 is ensuring that our research meets the needs of industry. We enjoy the support of industry through our Industrial Steering Board, a group of industry leaders who guide our research direction and act as champions for the RESCu-M2 Hub. Our flagships are engaging with industry to understand current challenges, and to ensure that all technologies are developed with translation and impact in mind.
Our engagement with industry will be a programme of industry spotlights (podcast or videocast), industry-led workshops and summits, co-creation of research, site visits, and regional networks in areas of sector-specific activities.
We are always looking for new industrial partners to work with us. Complete the form to tell us your challenge, or email [email protected] if you are interested in becoming part of our Industrial Steering Board.
Regional Authorities
Regional authorities are key stakeholders and enablers of the RESCu-M2 technology. We are committed to working with regional authorities to accelerate innovation through the development of innovation clusters, and to co-create on the net-zero and decarbonisation agendas. RESCu-M2 will promote skills and workforce development in key areas such as robotics, AI, design for life, circular manufacturing and Re-X skills, with the aim of providing training and micro-certification. As strategic co-owners, we will develop a programme of co-sponsored round tables, leaders’ summits and provide joint responses to calls for evidence.
Are you working in a regional authority and interested in working with us? Email us on [email protected]
Research Communities
RESCu-M2 is a broad programme, encompassing research communities from the fields of robotics, AI and ML, data science, smart machines, materials science, Re-X, product design and economics. Through conferences, seminar programmes, workshops, training and task groups, RESCu-M2 will become the leading authority on circular manufacturing. Our opportunities will be advertised here and via our LinkedIn page.
Schools Engagement
As the future of our society, RESCu-M2 actively engages with school children to share the importance of the circular economy, recovery of critical materials and sustainability. Running schools competitions, engaging with further education students to broaden their knowledge and offer work experience opportunities, and offering opportunities to under- and post-graduate students will enhance the skills of the future.
Our next Key Stage 2 competition will run in 2026. Are you a school teacher who would like to learn more? Contact [email protected]
Policy Engagement
As RESCu-M2 is at the forefront of the circular manufacturing ecosystem, it stands to reason that experts in the team will support policy development, co-creating with regional authorities, central government and international bodies to ensure that policies around the development, implementation and adoption of smart-enabled Re-X processes and products support safe and trusted use. Senior members of the team are members of influential committees and groups at the highest level of decision making, ensuring that the RESCu-M2 voice is heard. Outputs from RESCu-M2 has already provided white papers to influence government policy, and this will be a key strategy moving forward.
